Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has reportedly been given a war chest of £150m to spend on transfers during the January window, with the Blues boss keen to strengthen his centre-back, left-back and attacking positions.
According to the Telegraph, manager Frank Lampard is desperate to add some firepower to his front line and has come up with a shortlist of six players that could bolster the Chelsea attack.
Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace are top of the list, with both players costing £100m and £80m respectively. However, Dortmund won’t be willing to let Sancho leave the club in January. Zaha is keen to leave Selhurst Park, but Chelsea must be willing to spend at least £80m in January.
Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey and Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze are two others names that Chelsea could consider.
The final two on the list are Timo Werner of Stuttgart and Lyon’s Moussa Dembele.
With Chelsea recently struggling to break teams down in the final third, indeed the Blues will need more firepower in the attack.
