Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham missed Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to West Ham on Saturday due to an injury he suffered in the 2-2 Champions League draw against Valencia.
The Blues badly missed Abraham against West Ham on Saturday with Olivier Giroud struggling to make an impact before he was withdrawn by Frank Lampard in the second half.
Abraham is reportedly confident he will be back in contention to start when Chelsea face Aston Villa on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to The Athletic after Chelsea’s defeat on Saturday, Abraham said he would ‘hopefully’ be fit to face Villa with a telling smile and a nod, according to Metro.
