Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham scored and assisted Mason Mount’s goal on his injury comeback to help Chelsea beat Aston Villa 2-1 on Wednesday night.
Abraham missed the 1-0 loss to West Ham on Saturday after picking up a hip injury in the Champions League game against Valencia.
Abraham thanked Chelsea fans for the reception as he made his injury comeback against Aston Villa on Wednesday night.
“Thank you for the amazing reception last night. Good to be back!” Abraham tweeted.
Meanwhile, Mason Mount has revealed what Abraham told him before his winner against Aston Villa.
“It fell to me and me and Tammy spoke about that, that he would set me if he didn’t have space,” Mount told BBC Sport after the match.
“We knew the performance against West Ham wasn’t good enough, we knew we had to win more matches at home and be dominant.
“We did that, won more tackles and second balls, and we could have scored more goals.”
