A Tottenham fan has been banned for life after throwing a cup at Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga during the heated derby clash on Sunday.

Kepa was a target of this missile from the Spurs fan shortly after Spurs forward Son Heung-min was sent off for kicking Antonio Rudiger.

Tottenham have confirmed that they have issued a ban to their supporter who threw a cup at Kepa.

The club’s official statement reads: “We can confirm that we have identified and issued an immediate ban to the individual responsible for throwing a cup at Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga during Sunday’s Premier League home fixture.”

Around the same time, Rudiger reported a case of racial abuse targeted at him from a Spurs fan.

Spurs are investigating the alleged racial abuse but their early findings are ‘inconclusive’.

The North London club released a statement thus: “Our investigation into the alleged racist abuse against Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger remains ongoing.”
