Two Chelsea players could miss Tuesday’s crucial Champions League game against Lille at Stamford Bridge after missing training on Monday.

According to Football London, defender Fikayo Tomori and striker Olivier Giroud were not spotted with the rest of the Chelsea squad at training on Monday, leaving their participation against the Ligue 1 side in doubt.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be keen to have Tomori fit for the game against Lille on Tuesday as his absence will mean Lampard will start Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen against Lille, a partnership that looked shaky in the 3-1 defeat to Everton on Saturday.

Giroud was not named in Chelsea’s squad against Everton and he might be left out of the squad for the game against Lille even if he becomes available for selection.

Chelsea can guarantee qualification from our Champions League group with a victory over Lille. A draw would also be enough if Valencia are beaten by Ajax.
