Tammy Abraham was a beast for Aston Villa while on loan in the Championship last season. Abraham scored 26 goals and made three assists for the Villains last season.
Abraham is a doubt to come up against his former side when Chelsea host Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
However, his former teammate Jack Grealish has sent a message to the Chelsea striker wishing him well and at the same time wants him to remain injured for the Villa clash.
“I did message him the other day saying ‘I love you and stuff but I do hope you’re injured for the game’,” the Villa captain told Aston Villa’s official YouTube channel.
“I’ve always known how good Tammy was. If you look at his build and stuff… you don’t appreciate how good he is with the ball. He’s just a brilliant player.
“I always banter the manager and say ‘Why didn’t you bring Tammy in?’ just as a joke and he goes ‘I wish, we couldn’t afford.'”
Abraham picked up a hip injury in the Champions League game against Valencia, and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has labelled him a doubt for the game against Villa.
Lampard said: “We are giving him every opportunity to play tomorrow.
“We will make the call tomorrow, he has a little bit of pain. He was in good form, he is always keen, he is trying his best.
“You can’t isolate it to one player and game. He can’t just be the reason for losing the game [against West Ham]. He is an important player for us. We have competition in that area.”
