According to Daily Mail, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard would want Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell as his Christmas gift.
The Blues have been linked with the 22 year old England international and Daily Mail believe Lampard will be wishing this Christmas that the left-back joins Chelsea in January.
Daily Mail wrote: “The transfer embargo has finally been lifted and with it the shackles on Lampard to improve his squad.
“The Chelsea legend has opted to give youth a chance at Stamford Bridge in the absence of any transfer business, and his young guns have not let him down with the likes of Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount repaying his faith with a set of top performances.
“Now Chelsea have been unleashed back onto the market and Lampard has made no secret of his desire to strengthen his ranks. His team might be firing on all cylinders at the top end of the pitch, but it could certainly do with some work at the back. Left back looks like an area that could do with bolstering in particular after Emerson Palmieri’s uneven displays and Marcus Alonso looking surplus to requirements.
“Could the Stamford Bridge hierarchy grant Lampard’s wishes by gifting him Leicester’s Ben Chilwell? The 22-year-old has been linked and could fit the profile Chelsea are looking for.”
