Willian scored a brace to help Chelsea secure a 2-0 victory over Tottenham on Sunday.

Chelsea went 1-0 up after 12 minutes through a fine Willian goal following a short corner. He doubled Chelsea’s lead by scoring a penalty after Tottenham goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga clattered into Marcos Alonso.

Willian’s penalty was Chelsea’s 100th Premier League goal against Tottenham.

Meanwhile, Willian has urged his teammates to be more consistent as he warned Chelsea cannot keep going up and down.

“I’m happy of course with the two goals but the most important thing is always to win the game,” the 31-year-old told Chelsea’s official website. “We did a brilliant job. It was a big win, a big game and everyone is happy.

“We fought for every ball. We know we have the quality to play but this kind of game is about how you fight and be mentally strong – we did everything.

“It was one of our best performances of the season but now we have to keep doing the same. We cannot keep going up and down, we have to carry on and keep the momentum. We have many games coming and if we want to stay near the top, we need to win more of them.”

William plays with commitment season in season out. He has continually proved his worth since days in Shakhtar Donesk especially in 2013 when he punished us. He has class and when he combines it with form, the results are amazing. Super Frankie was over the moon, I think he wanted to join the celebration at the corner where his former team mate was.
