Despite playing over an hour against 10-man Arsenal, Chelsea failed to beat the Gunners with the Blues managing a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
David Luiz was sent off after he fouled Tammy Abraham in the box in the 26th minute.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has named three reasons why the Gunners left Stamford Bridge with a point. According to Arteta, Arsenal’s team spirit, togetherness and leadership helped them secure a draw at Stamford Bridge.
“I am very pleased with the reaction,” Arteta told BT Sport.
“To do that against this kind of opponent in this stadium, I really value. The way they have done it, with the spirit they have done it, that’s great.
“When someone makes a mistake you expect your team-mates to stand up and they showed that belief, I was really impressed with that.
“I wasn’t here a couple of weeks ago but what I am demanding every day they are trying their best to do it. Some are playing in different positions.
“The togetherness and leadership they showed today, this is what I wanted to see.”
