Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has found playing time hard to come by at Chelsea under Frank Lampard, and the 23-year-old seems to be struggling at the moment.
The Denmark international has been linked with an exit from the club as Chelsea are said to be interested in signing a new centre-back, with Christensen currently fourth choice in the centre-back role.
Borussia Monchengladbach chief Max Eberl has admitted that the club is keeping an eye on Christensen’s situation at Chelsea.
He told Express: “We don’t need to talk about the quality of Andreas Christensen.
“I do not know whether it (a transfer) could be implemented. I have not spoken to Chelsea. The fact is that Andreas still has a two-year contract there.
“If we then get to know what transfer fees are also required in England for players who may not seem to play a major role… it’s crazy.”
Christensen spent two years on loan with Monchengladbach and developed his game with the German side before returning to Chelsea in 2017.
