The Chelsea team have shown signs of ups and downs this season and fans of the club have urged Chelsea manager Frank Lampard to strengthen the team in the January transfer window.

Following the draw with Brighton on New Year’s Day, Chelsea fans have now urged Lampard to sign some quality players before the close of the window.

“Announce Sancho,” said a Chelsea fan.

“Scrappy game and lack of squad strength & depth taking its toll on the team, January transfer window is open Chelsea need to start writing those blank cheques,” said another Blue.

“The transfer window is open now go and get quality players before we find ourself in 10th position before the end of January,” claimed another supporter.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha for some time now, but the Blues boss refused to be drawn in on the speculations after the game against Brighton.

Lampard said after the game: “I won’t talk about [Wilfried] Zaha because he’s not a player of ours.

“If we have to do business we’ll do it in the way that we see fit to try to make us better and that will be done behind closed doors as opposed to just announcing who we might want to bring in.”
