Chelsea legend Claude Makelele was brought to Stamford Bridge in August to become a technical mentor for the club’s academy players, and the Blues legend has spotted a young talent that he’s keen on bringing to the club.
Reports in France claim that Makelele is pushing for the club to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Kays Ruiz-Atil.
While Chelsea have not yet made an approach for the 17-year-old, Makelele has expressed an interest in signing Ruiz-Atil and was in Paris to watch PSG’s 3-3 draw against Monaco last Sunday, RMC Sport claim.
RMC Sport has also revealed that some figures at PSG are unhappy with Makelele’s presence and his interest in Ruiz-Atil.
Ruiz-Atil is yet to make his debut for PSG, but has featured at the club at youth level. The 17-year-old midfielder is highly rated and joined PSG from Barcelona in 2015. His contract with the club expires in 2021 and he’s reportedly interested in leaving PSG
