Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on signing a replacement for Eden Hazard, either during the January transfer window or in the summer.

Hazard left Chelsea for Real Madrid after seven years at club in the summer of 2019 and the Blues were unable to sign a replacement for the Belgian due to a transfer ban.

According to ESPN, Chelsea have moved ahead of Manchester United in the race to seal the transfer of Ajax attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech.

Lampard understands the Blues can’t get the Ajax star in January and is prepared to wait until the summer for the Moroccan international.

Ziyech is reportedly worth around £45 million.
