Isaac Hayden broke the hearts of Chelsea fans and was the hero for Newcastle as he scored a 90+4 minute goal to give his side a win.
Newcastle got their first corner of the game in stoppage time, and after it was cleared by Willian, Newcastle player Saint-Maximin curled back the ball in from a deep position on the left. Isaac Hayden then rose highest at the far post to head the ball in.
Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga had little to do all game and when called into action, he couldn’t parry as the ball bounced back up and into the net following Hayden’s header.
Stats guru Squawka rated Kepa poorly against the Magpies and believes that the Spaniard could have saved the ball.
Squawka wrote: “Had basically nothing to do, and did it well until the end of the game when he failed to come for a cross, and then failed to stop what should have been a savable header. Utterly ineffective at crunch-time yet again.”
The Real Chelsea Fans analyst also believed that Kepa should have done better: “Had nothing to do for most part of the game except to pick the ball out of his net right at the death. Could have done a bit more to save that late goal.”
Do you think Kepa could have saved that header?
