French club Nice, managed by ex-Gunner Patrick Vieira, are keen on signing Chelsea youngster Tariq Lamptey on a free transfer, according to The Telegraph.
The 19 year old right-back, who made his debut in the 2-1 victory over Arsenal, is in the final year of his Chelsea contract.
The highly-rated right-back became the seventh Chelsea academy graduate to make his first-team debut under head coach Frank Lampard when he came on and impressed as a substitute against Arsenal.
Lamptey made his second Chelsea appearance in the FA Cup victory over Nottingham Forest and the Blues are keen to extend his contract.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard recently confirmed the 19 year old is talking with the club.
“He’s talking with the club and hopefully he feels a bit of love from today as we’ve parachuted him in,” Lampard said.
