Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante was a notable absence in Chelsea’s line-up against Burnley last weekend.
Kante didn’t feature in that game as the Blues romped to a 3-0 victory.
Speaking before the game against the Clarets, Lampard revealed that Kante missed the game through a hamstring injury.
“He’s reported some feeling in his hamstring yesterday after training,” Lampard told Sky Sports before Chelsea’s clash with Burnley.
Ahead of the game at Newcastle today, Lampard has also given a fitness update on N’Golo Kante and it’s a positive one.
The Chelsea boss said: “He has had a few issue through the week and it is a decision I have to make with absolute certainty, but at the minute it looks like he is good to go.”
