It’s already 17 days into the January transfer market, but the Blues are yet to sign any player this window, and so far the club aren’t close to any deal yet.

With results having gone against the Blues sometimes this season and certain aspects of the team in need of strengthening, Chelsea fans are keen to see the club make some signings this window.

In his press conference ahead of Newcastle clash, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard was asked the latest in Chelsea’s quest to sign players in January.

Lampard refused to acknowledge that the club was closing in on any player, but he however revealed that Chelsea might make some signings before the end of the window – although he maintained that it must be the right signing.

“There is no news on that front,” said Lampard in his press conference.

“I won’t talk about individuals. What remains the same is the window is open and if there’s anything we can do to improve us, we will attempt to do it. There may be news, I’m not closing the door because I always want to improve us, but it has to be right in January.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.

You better leave it altogether than saying you will do something. Marina is no good negotiator.we didn’t buy in the summer which would have put us right and good time to identify players of the quality. ROMAN to intervene here.
