According to Daily Express, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard could make a late move for Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic if the Blues are unable to complete a deal for Edinson Cavani or Krzysztof Piatek of AC Milan.

Tammy Abraham is out of action with an ankle injury and Lampard wants to get another hitman in before Friday.

Olivier Giroud is expected to leave the club before the end of the transfer window while Lampard isn’t convinced by Michy Batshuayi.

Jovic is reportedly down on Chelsea’s list of strikers but Lampard is keeping an eye on his situation at Real Madrid and could approach Real Madrid if he isn’t able to sign Piatek or Cavani.

Jovic signed for Real from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer for £52million but has since scored one league goal.

We should go for Jovic instead of cavani or piatec, he fits the bill for Chelsea and has proven himself in the Bundesliga.
