Chelsea were able to get a 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest in the third round of the FA Cup.
It was an easy win for Frank Lampard’s side, but the Blues couldn’t take advantage of their dominance against Forest to score more goals.
Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has praised two youngsters Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James for their performance against Forest.
Hudson-Odoi was the man of the match with a goal and an assist, while James kept pumping in a lot of dangerous crosses from the right flank into the box for the attacking players.
Lampard said: “I liked parts of it, I liked the first half, I liked what we did on the right-hand side. I thought Reece and Callum were lively and bright.
“I didn’t want us to get bored of it. When you do that it can become a bit easy and you go, ‘Oh well we’ve got overloads there, we’ve got Ross there’ and my one gripe would be second half we slightly came off that.
“So we had possession, but I want to keep going. Fans are here to see balls into the box, to see more efforts and sometimes we get slightly conditioned to come off it, and I want us to keep going. But I shouldn’t complain too much because these games are never easy. I thought the mentality was right and we got the win.”
