Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is pressuring Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia to sign a striker during the January transfer window to boost the club’s chances of a top four finish, according to The Sun.

Chelsea have reportedly submitted bids for PSG striker Edinson Cavani and AC Milan striker Krzystof Piatek.

The January transfer window closes on Friday and Chelsea are yet to make a signing. The club also didn’t sign any player last summer despite Eden Hazard leaving due to a transfer ban.

Tammy Abraham has been forced to shoulder the burden of finding the net this season with 15 goals to his name but the striker will be unavailable for the game against Leicester City this weekend.

The game against Leicester City is a huge game for the Blues as a defeat will leave Chelsea 11 points behind third placed Leicester.

Let chelsea buy a striker asap just as the coach says. He knows the boys he is working with more. Waiting for last minutes is being too weak!
