Kepa Arrizabalaga has come under heavy criticism this season after making several errors this season.
The Spaniard, who is the world’s most expensive goalkeeper, has the worst save percentage in the Premier League and recent reports have claimed the club is looking to sign another goalkeeper.
Fans and pundits criticised Arrizabalaga for his performance against Arsenal as the Blues conceded two goals from Arsenal’s two shots on goals. Several fans have blamed the goalkeeper for failing to save Arsenal’s second goal.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has revealed the club’s transfer decision on Arrizabalaga.
According to Lampard, Chelsea won’t sign a replacement for Arrizabalaga in January but Lampard’s answer hints the club could sign a replacement in the summer if Arrizabalaga’s poor form continues.
Asked if Chelsea will sign a replacement for Arrizabalaga, Lampard said: “I am not looking at strengthening that position now.
“Kepa knows and he’ll be honest that there have been some mistakes that have cost us goals. It is the nature of it, so that needs to improve.”
