The Blues are in a hunt for a striker this January and have been linked with a move for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, who has scored 13 goals in 28 appearances this season.
Chelsea have been dealt a huge blow after Dembele dismissed talk that he could leave Lyon during the January transfer window.
“I am a Lyon player and I will remain so until the end of the season,” Dembele told reporters.
“I do not think that there will be a departure this winter. Lots of things are being said. It is up to me to ignore that and remain concentrated on the pitch.”
