Despite being linked with a January move to Chelsea, former Crystal Palace winger John Salako believes Wilfried Zaha will not leave the Eagles in the January transfer window.
“I can’t see it happening,” he said, speaking to Love Sport Radio.
“I went into this transfer window thinking he wants to go, he would like to go and maybe play Champions League football, he deserves that, he has earned the right. And I think Palace fans would wish him well if he wanted to do that.
“But I would love him to stay. He is just so important, especially when you see the injuries now, with [Andros] Townsend and [Jeffrey] Schlupp.
“He is so vital to the side, and I would love him to stay, at least until the summer, and it looks like to me he is going to stay until the end of the season.”
