Chelsea’s next game is a huge one against Leicester City at Stamford Bridge February 1.
The Blues are 8 points behind the Foxes and a victory for Chelsea could cut it down to five points and thus increase Chelsea’s chances of finishing in third position.
Chelsea star Christian Pulisic has missed the club’s last 5 games with an adductor injury. The 21-year-old has been missed, as Frank Lampard’s side has struggled to break down some teams.
According to the official Chelsea website, Lampard thinks Pulisic will be back in training in the middle of the week although the Leicester City game on Saturday might come too soon for him.
Pulisic hasn’t featured for Chelsea since New Year’s Day after he injured himself in training ahead of the FA Cup third round win against Nottingham Forest.
Following Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal, Lampard gave an update on Pulisic that he should be back by the end of February: “It will probably be the other end of the February break but he is getting better and he is not that far away.”
Pulisic has made 16 Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season, scoring 5 goals.
