Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on signing a winger to replace the goals and assists of Eden Hazard and hopes to sign a quality replacement this January.

American international Christian Pulisic, who is in his first season at Stamford Bridge, has reacted to Lampard’s plan of signing a new winger despite his recent arrival.

According to Pulisic, it’s normal for Lampard to reinforce the squad.

Speaking to ESPN, Pulisic said: “It’s normal.

“That’s what happens in teams. The transfer window, players might leave, players can come in.

“You just work with the team that you’ve got, and there’s always going to be competition, so you’re just ready.”
