As we had brought you reports earlier, Chelsea were considering recalling young midfielder Conor Gallagher from his loan spell at Charlton and send him elsewhere for the remainder of the season.
Gallagher has established himself as one of coach Lee Bowyer’s key players at The Valley, and the Blues and Charlton reached an agreement for a season-long loan deal, however Chelsea have an option to recall the 19-year-old this month.
After a successful first half loan spell that has seen the 19-year-old score six times and create three assists in 25 Championship matches this term for Charlton, the Blues have now recalled midfielder Conor Gallagher from his loan spell at Charlton and will open discussions over another move this week.
Sky Sports report that the 19-year-old trained with Chelsea’s first team on Tuesday morning at Cobham as he waits to see what his future holds.
Reports claim that Gallagher is close to signing a loan deal with Swansea until the end of the season.
Steve Cooper’s side are on the hunt for promotion to the top tier and currently sit seventh in the table and just outside the play-off places, and the Welsh team are keen to boost their squad with the addition of Conor Gallagher.
Cooper was the England U17 head coach when they won the World Cup in 2017, a squad that included Gallagher, Guehi and Brewster, meaning Gallagher will be in safe hands with the Swansea manager.
