Chelsea are keen on signing a new striker this window, and latest reports are linking the Blues with a move for AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek.
It isn’t Chelsea alone who want the Pole international, as Tottenham are also looking to sign the striker, and reports claim that Spurs are using their interest in Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud as only a bargaining chip to land Piatek.
Neither Chelsea nor Tottenham want to sign Piatek on a permanent transfer, as Milan want a fee in the region of £27million for a permanent deal.
Chelsea fans won’t like to see Giroud turn out for rival club Tottenham, but the Mirror only claim that their main interest is in Piatek who Chelsea are also interested in.
Many clubs are asking to take Piatek on loan, but Milan want to sell straight away to recover the money they paid Genoa a year ago and reinvest immediately in new players.
Piatek scored 19 goals in 21 appearances in all competitions for Genoa last season, and thus earned a big move to AC Milan twelve months ago. He’s gone on to score 16 goals in 40 since, and only 5 in 19 this season.
