The likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham have been able to make some significant signings to strengthen their squads this January transfer window, but so far, none has been made at Stamford Bridge.

While Chelsea fans are seemingly disappointed with the club’s lack of transfer activities, there have been moves by the club to sign some players, but Chelsea’s targets have been difficult to get, as is always the case in the winter transfer window.

Chelsea are no strangers to January transfer deadline day deals as the Blues have sealed famous deals for the likes of Fernando Torres and Ashley Cole.

There have also been famous transfer deadline day exits as well, and Olivier Giroud could be set to leave the club today as he’s also keen on an exit.

Chelsea’s best case scenario this January is a move for Dries Mertens, and a deal could possibly be done before the end of the window.

Timo Werner is out of it as he wants to stay at RB Leipzig until the end of the season because they are top of the Bundesliga and in the Champions League round of 16.

Chelsea’s move for Edinson Cavani has also failed as the Uruguayan is keen to play for Atletico Madrid, and PSG are not willing to let him leave on the cheap.

Frank Lampard has made it clear that a striker is what’s most needed at the club this transfer window. Can the Blues make it happen?

Anything can happen on deadline day in the January transfer window.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
