Chelsea’s loan army for the development of youngsters have bore fruit in recent times as the likes of Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori and Reece James have all impressed on loan, which have also aided their progress into the first team.
Two Chelsea youngsters Marc Guehi and Tariq Uwakwe are also set for loan deals away from the club, having also made their way from the club’s academy.
Guehi is one of the older players in the Development Squad and has impressed in a couple of first-team appearances in the Carabao Cup, is set to join Swansea City on loan.
Guehi was initially thought to be set for a six-month loan deal with Swansea, but he’d now join the Welsh side for an 18-month loan spell.
The 19-year-old will be leaving the club for his first loan deal and Chelsea will be hoping that the highly-rated centre-back improves while on loan.
Also, young Chelsea midfielder Tariq Uwakwe is also set for a first loan deal away from the club and has been linked with Derby County. Although the 20-year-old hasn’t made his senior-team debut yet, he is highly rated by Chelsea and he has trained with the first team a couple of times.
