The Blues are reportedly interested in signing AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek but with the January transfer window closing on Friday, the Blues are yet to reach an agreement with AC Milan for the striker.
While previous reports had suggested the Blues submitted a bid of €27 million for the Polish striker, Daily Mail claim Chelsea submitted a loan bid for the striker.
AC Milan reportedly want a loan with obligation to buy at around £28million but Chelsea would prefer a straight loan with an option instead should Piatek impress.
With Chelsea not willing to meet AC Milan’s terms for Piatek, German club Hertha Berlin are reportedly closing in on the striker.
Piatek was heavily criticised by the Italian press for his performance in AC Milan’s 4-2 extra time win over Torino in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday night.
