Chelsea fans have been unhappy since losing to rivals Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Monday night. To make matters worse, the Blues have lost thrice to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this season, scoring just once and conceding eight goals in those games.
Chelsea’s position as fourth is currently under threat, and the Blues must come up with some consistency in order to maintain a top four finish.
An angry talkSPORT caller and Chelsea fan seems to have had enough of Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and has called for Lampard and his assistant Jody Morris to be shown the exit door less than one year into their job.
“Frank Lampard’s getting away with murder down at the Bridge,” he said.
“Every game, at the end of the game he comes onto the middle of the pitch, he claps and the fans sing his name.
“It’s not good enough. No fans are applying any pressure to him, he’s just basically got a free run to do exactly what he pleases.
“He’s not making the right decisions, he’s not picking the right team. I don’t think he knows what he’s doing to be honest.
“I really genuinely don’t believe Frank Lampard knows what he’s doing.”
The supporter then added: “Sarri got all the stick in the world for playing Kante out of position. Lampard does it, no one cares.
“Jorginho, everyone hated Jorginho down at Stamford Bridge, he was the worst player Chelsea have ever signed. Now Lampard’s there he’s the greatest thing, everyone loves him.
“He’s getting away with murder mate, honest to god.”
When asked if he wants Lampard to remain in charge of Chelsea, the angry Chelsea fan said he wanted Lampard and Morris out.
He said: “I want him and that joker Jody Morris to be given the boot. The pair of them ain’t got a clue.”
While we are all disappointed with the result against Manchester United, no real Chelsea fan should be this unsupportive of the team and the manager. Chelsea might have been struggling in recent games, but Frank Lampard and Jody Morris have done well so far. This Chelsea squad hasn’t been properly strengthened since Antonio Conte’s second season.
As a matter of fact, the last two times when Chelsea actually strengthened the squad, the Blues went on to win the league, which was in 2014/15 season and 2016/17 season.
