One thing Chelsea must not do against Tottenham is lose this afternoon, and the Blues must as well be rooting for a win in this game.
Frank Lampard’s side has won only one league game this year, and the Blues have failed to get a win in consecutive big games played against Arsenal, Leicester City and Manchester United – drawing two and losing one.
Chelsea have another massive tie at Stamford Bridge against Tottenham, and former Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov is predicting a 2-2 draw for this tie.
The Betfair brand ambassador said in his predictions: “Chelsea are in a bit of a slump at the moment, Spurs have their problems as well, especially now that they are also without Son through injury – they are missing some big players.
“I don’t think Chelsea can afford any more slip ups, the race for the top four is really tight, but I can see this one being a draw.”
Meanwhile, Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho have been involved in a war of mind games, with both managers trying to win the psychological battle.
Mourinho revealed in his press conference that Chelsea will play three at the back like the Blues did in the first leg in December, but Lampard has refuted such claims.
Lampard said: “It was pleasing on the day. And the way the players implement it. This is the best league in the world. You always try to prepare. Every game is different.
“It’s a different game to the one we took on at Tottenham. It doesn’t mean that we can just play the same way.”
