According to news outlet, Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana has agreed a summer move to Chelsea.

The Blues have reportedly beat French club Paris Saint-Germain to the signing of the 23 year old Cameroonian international.

Onana is set to leave Ajax in the summer and prefers a move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on replacing Kepa Arrizabalaga in the summer after a series of errors this season in goal.

Chelsea fans have been reacting to the news that Onana is set to join Chelsea in the summer.

While some fans are excited about the news, others believe we should stick with Kepa.

Commenting on the post ‘Goalkeeper agrees summer move to Chelsea’, Chelsea fans reacted to the proposed signing of the 23 year old goalkeeper:

Pam Yusuf said: “Onana is highly welcome. Can’t wait to see him in the Chelsea squad.”

Bluesman737 said: “I cannot believe we wasted a small fortune on Arrizabalaga – too small, lightweight and no idea of how to manage the 18 yard box. Consequently centre backs left in disarray. We could have had Pickford for half the money.”

De_Graft Johnson said: “I will be glad if Chelsea sign new goalkeeper.”

Reuben said: “I think we have to give him time to improve.”

Wezly said: “Screw kepa he had his time to shine and did shit with it, bye bye.”

Olayinka oyetunji said: “The boy is good, just need to be cautious.”

Aina said: “Chelsea going the same De Brune and Salah way. The better keeper you’re hoping for will end up the worst. I assure you.”

Kevin David said: “I will prefer Chelsea bring another goalkeeper to compete with Kepa rather than selling him.”

Join the conversation and let us know what you think. Should Chelsea complete the move for Onana or stick with Kepa Arrizabalaga next season?

  1. It is better to buy another goalkeeper to replace Kepa by giving some more to of improvement to the former.

  2. Some more time need to be given to Kepa to improve even though new goalkeeper is needed.

  3. I think Chelsea should go ahead sign onana, and sell kepa

Let Caballero go and bring in Onana to compete with Kepa

  5. Beverley Brooks | February 11, 2020 at 12:40 pm |

Pleased we have a new keeper.

  6. I’ve been saying all season we need a New keeper but one to come in and compete with Kepa and who ever comes out on top gets the spot. But will need two top quality keepers. So keep hold of Kepa and bring in Onana to replace Cabellero

  7. buy Onana and sell Caballero

  8. Plz plz Lampard don’t repeat the mistake mourihno did, don’t sell Kepa his good, good idea and happy to that onana is ready to join us let him come and fight kepa for first keeper plz, don’t sell that boy plz

  9. Let’s give him chances to in improve himself

  10. Competition is ideal.kepa is not superhuman because when our defense is exposed anything can happen.

    • I think we must look at our defensive is your defense is exposed your keeper is worthless.let re-enforce our defense.if no and Onana comes it be the same.

  11. not need to panic for chellsea they need to rainforce from backline an front line the result will come Frank is in the building procces let us give him achance johannes Sa

  12. Don’t sell kepa, bring in onana to compete with kepa otherwise selling kepa won’t be a good move

  13. Don’t dare sell Kepa coz he our savior in Europa league, he led us to collect the UEFA cup he is our champion he just need some time to improve coz he’s good at penalty saving. Let just have is like this

  14. Yes we need Onana and one left back and Joghino out of the team and one helper for Abraham ,

  15. The mistake we are making is Onana isn’t the type of keeper to be on the bench, he is a starter just like Kepa, they not back up GKs. So one has to stay and I’d prefer Onana. I actually didn’t like Kepa right from the first game I saw him

For me i Will say don’t sell kepa keep him maybe he just need a good competition and also very good difenders even ceah made a lot a errors but he was futunate to have good difenders like terry, cavalo, cole, and even good DM like makalele, essin even Mikel…just time and difenders that’s all he needs

    Do not sell kepa

  18. It’s too early to make judgements. Cotouirs struggled in his first few years. There are many reasons Kepa is not doing fine including our defense itself. Coutouis’sg loan to Athletico improved him. Let’s loan out Kepa and monitor His improvement…..

  19. Don’t sell kapa plz just bring another gookeper

Kepa is a fluke. Have never like him. Onana and caballero should be in the team. Matter fact as of now Caballero should start games not kepa

  21. Abednego Ogbonna | February 12, 2020 at 7:28 am |

    I think it’s a welcome development

  22. Such a large sum of money, for such an unproven goalkeeper in Kepa.well its a trend for chelsea right?the title ‘costliest Gk’ is certainly the most important for the chelsea brass, rather than their playing sure this will happen again in the near future

  23. I trust Frank Lampard decision for changes to be made

  24. Charles Essien | February 12, 2020 at 10:32 am |

    Keep Kepa as well.

  25. Kepa is good, Lampard should work and concentrate more on his defensive lines. In most cases, good goal keppers are exposed when the entire team aren’t hitting form or when there’s no solidity in the defensive lines. Is Thibaut Courtios not enjoying life now at Spanish La Liga???

  26. Chelsea cannot give chance to struggling players. Most of our flops sine in other clubs example De Bruune. Sallah, an other young stars

  27. Charles Obinna | February 12, 2020 at 11:00 pm |

Chelsea is too big to wait for a goalkeeper like Kepa Arrizabalaga to improve, at least we have tried by giving him playing time but he ceases to improve, so it is better we get a good goalkeeper that will be as incredible as petr cech, so I think Onana is a good move

  28. Patient is the most important on your defense and see your results.the game is if i can score then you can score me.

  29. We can keep Kepa and bring Onana. We need someone that’s takes his job more seriously.

  30. We can keep Kepa and bring in Onana. We need someone that’s takes his job more seriously.

  31. Loan him out for two seasons and get another goalkeeper that will replace him when he’s out.

  32. Omoregie peter | February 13, 2020 at 12:16 pm |

What if onana comes in and do not do well we will start seeking for another why not leave kepa and use use both of them next season nothing his bad in that they re all good his just that form his not in kepa side.

  33. I think Kepa should stay and bring in another keepor to complete with him,our main focus now should be a world class Straker that will be able to give us the results

  34. Our main focus now should be a world class Straker that will be able to give us the results, instead of selling Kepa let him stay ❗
