Chelsea have a crucial match this weekend against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, and it’s a massive game for the Blues.
Chelsea are 4th in the league, while the Cherries are fighting relegation in 16th place. However, this remains a tricky tie for Chelsea as Bournemouth have beaten the Blues in the last two games, including a 4-0 thrashing at the Vitality Stadium last season.
Former Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov doesn’t think Chelsea will win this game due to the club’s inconsistent performances and how the Blues tend to struggle against Bournemouth.
The Betfair ambassador said: “This match pits one struggling team against highly unpredictable opponents. Bournemouth are in real trouble, losing their last two matches and only two points outside the relegation zone.
“Chelsea, meanwhile, beat Spurs last weekend but were then outclassed at home to Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek. Frank Lampard will hope his players learn from that experience. But Eddie Howe’s men have a good record against Chelsea.
“The Cherries won at Stamford Bridge in December and Howe would give anything for three points now. It will be tough but I’m backing them to get it.”
Berbatov predicted a 2-1 victory for Bournemouth.
