Wigan left-back Antonee Robinson missed out on joining Serie A club AC Milan during the January transfer window.
The 22 year old United States international was close to leaving Wigan for AC Milan in January but the move couldn’t be completed before the transfer window closed.
AC Milan had agreed a £10 million fee with Wigan for the 22 year old but didn’t have enough time to complete the deal.
According to The Mirror, AC Milan’s interest in Robinson has alerted Chelsea, who have now contacted Wigan about a summer move for the left-back.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on strengthening the left-back position and Robinson is now being targeted by the Blues.
