According to French media outlet L’Equipe, Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante will miss at least three weeks of football after suffering a groin injury in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester United on Monday night.
Kante had a scan on the injury on Tuesday and the result showed the midfielder suffered a stage 2 lesion, which means it’s more than a minor lesion but, fortunately, not a full rupture.
The earliest Kante is expected to return is mid-March – before the March international break – but he is most likely to return after the international break as the medical team won’t want him rushed back.
If Kante doesn’t return until after the March international break, the midfielder will games against Tottenham Hotspur, both legs against Bayern Munich, the FA Cup Round of 16 match against Liverpool, Everton, away must-wins against Bournemouth and Aston Villa, and a home game against Manchester City.
