Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri did an interview with Three Lions’ striker coach, Allan Russell.

The 25-year-old was described by Russell as a ‘skillful wing-back, who likes to beat players’, and Emerson spoke about his skill set in the interview.

“When it comes to 1v1, I tend to already know where my striker is,” Emerson said in the clip.

Emerson also had a message for the younger players, “When you are convinced, it is a lot easier”.

The 25-year-old has however struggled to perform for the Blues this season, and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has opted to play Cesar Azpilicueta as a left-back in his stead.

The left-back position is a key area Chelsea will try to strengthen during the summer transfer window.
