Chelsea appointed Antonio Conte to take charge of the club in the 2016/17 season, and the Italian led the Blues to the Premier League title in just his first season in charge.
It’s never an easy thing to win the Premier League in your first season, and Conte prides himself in that achievement, while also pointing out that Liverpool and Manchester City managers Jurgen Klopp didn’t achieve that in their first season at the club.
“At Chelsea, I won the Premier League in the first year and the FA Cup in the second year,” Conte said according Goal.
“Klopp hasn’t won anything yet in England after four years and Guardiola didn’t win anything in his first year.”
Conte spent only two seasons as Chelsea boss and he won the Premier League title in his first season and the FA Cup in his second.
