Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso has struggled for game time this season, as Frank Lampard has preferred to play Cesar Azpilicueta in the left-back position.
Meanwhile, former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte used Alonso to good effect during his time at Stamford Bridge, playing him as a left wing-back.
Conte was linked with a move for Alonso during the January transfer window, but a move never materialised.
However, Italian outlet Calciomercato now claim that Conte still hasn’t given up on signing Alonso. The Italian has managed to sign Victor Moses on loan and is keen to add Alonso to his squad.
According to Calciomercato reporter Fabrizio Romano, the Blues have raised their asking price for Alonso to €30m – a figure Inter won’t be keen to pay.
Alonso’s value will definitely drop during the summer as he has played a limited role this season having been restricted to just 15 appearances so far, and with Lampard eyeing a summer move for Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell, Alonso might leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.
