Former Chelsea star Frank Leboeuf has admitted he is sad for Chelsea right-back Reece James after the young right-back was outplayed by Serge Gnabry and Alphonso Davies during Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.
According to Leboeuf, the game against Bayern Munich shows how far James is from the top and he insists James will have to work a lot harder to get to the top.
“I was so sad for James, who discovered the Champions League and can see how far he is to reach the top level,” Leboeuf said on ESPN FC.
“So we wish him the best but he’s going to have to work a lot.
“He seemed to be very juvenile with [Mason] Mount, especially in that game.”
