Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies was a thorn in Chelsea’s flesh as the 19-year-old left-back used his pace against Chelsea both offensive and defensively.
Davies outran Chelsea youngster Mason Mount whenever he had a sniff on goal, and he was just too dangerous against Chelsea right-back Reece James, as he made James look like an amateur.
Ex-Blue Clive Walker believes Davies should be of interest to the club and has urged Chelsea to go for the 19-year-old speedster in a position badly in need of signings by the club.
“I thought he was almost as quick as I was! This lad is quick,” Walker, who played as a winger for the Blues told Love Radio Sport.
“I think he’s got a lot to learn but I think wow, you know with that pace you can get away with things and you know I thought he was absolutely terrific. And you know one to look forward to for the future even if it might be from a distance. He’s at a good club and you can see him improving.
“The one thing that Chelsea are always in the market for is one of the best younger players around and I think having seen him in the flesh, you have to say that Chelsea’s ears would have been pricked.
“I’m sure they’ll be watching him on a few more occasions. But does he leave a club like Bayern to come to Chelsea? And of course Champions League is a big part of any draw [to the club] at the moment and Chelsea have to hang on to the fourth spot.”
