According to reports, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is keen to make a statement signing during the summer transfer window, and the Manchester City academy product Jadon Sancho is top on his list.
Meanwhile, Chelsea might face an obstacle in signing up Sancho, as former Blues transfer target Erling Haaland doesn’t want Sancho to leave the club.
Haaland and Sancho have struck a good relationship on the pitch so quickly, which has rewarded Haaland with 7 goals in his 3 games so far for Borussia Dortmund, and after their 5-0 win over Union Berlin – Haaland spoke about his relationship with Sancho and how it could be a stumbling block for any interested parties in the future.
Haaland said: “You see on the pitch that it is very good and I do not want him to give me too many assists so we have to keep it down a bit! He’s a great guy.”
Sancho returned the favour by saying: “Me and him combine very well and we bring it into the game and help the team. I am very happy that he is here.”
