Chelsea boss Frank Lampard made two changes to the starting XI for Chelsea’s 2-2 draw at Bournemouth on Saturday with Pedro and Fikayo Tomori starting ahead of Ross Barkley and Antonio Rudiger.

Speaking before kickoff at Bournemouth, Lampard cited performances in training as the reason behind his decision to start Pedro and Tomori against Bournemouth.

Lampard said: “We have a lot of games; it’s a busy period for us and all of them are tough games.

“It’s also how players train and prepare.

“I’ve got players to pick from in the squad – some of them haven’t played that much regularly when you talk about Pedro and Tomori but they’ve put themselves in the frame with their training, so let’s see what they can do.”
