Chelsea gave in a good performance against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon as the Blues won the game 2-1.
It was a dominant performance against Spurs as the Blues were by far the better side over 90 minutes and the Blues could have won by a bigger margin.
Chelsea were comfortably winning the game 2-0 before an own goal late in the game by Antonio Rudiger gave the Blues a tense finish to what was a very comfortable afternoon for Chelsea.
Speaking after the game, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard revealed that the only goal scored by Tottenham was his biggest disappointment.
“There’s slight disappointment at their goal, which makes the result look slightly different and it gave us a nervous few minutes but the performance levels of the team and attitude of the team, I can’t ask for any more,” said the boss while speaking to the media after the game.
“It’s been a tough period for us at home. The last couple of days have been spent for me and for the lads finding the reasons why because we can’t keep saying we’re playing well and then lose games. A lot of it for me was mentality in both boxes, focus in every moment of the game, but the players gave me everything today.”
