N’Golo Kante, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic were all missing from the training session at Cobham ahead of the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
The trio are still injured, and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard revealed in his press conference that they’d be unavailable to face Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.
“Pulisic is out, Hudson-Odoi is out, Kante is out. Pedro is back in the squad having missed the game with an injury at the weekend,” the Chelsea boss said at his pre-Bayern presser.
“Callum is not far away. Ruben is fit and in the squad.”
Kante hobbled out of the Manchester United match last Monday with an adductor injury and is expected to be out until March.
Hudson-Odoi suffered a hamstring injury in training during the winter break and has not featured since then.
Pulisic has been sorely missed and is yet to play a minute of action since New Year’s Day with an adductor problem.
Lampard also revealed that he won’t hesitate to play his youngsters against Bayern Munich if need be.
“I’ve got no doubts about starting any of the young players,” Lampard added. “I trust in all the players who have been part of the squad this year.
“They’ve earned trust in the way they’ve played. It changes slightly when it gets to the knockout stages and I’ll speak to all the players about what that means.”
