Mason Mount was instrumental in the 2-2 draw against Leicester City as the young midfielder provided the assists for the goals scored by Antonio Rudiger.
Mount has revealed that Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is always asking him to put good deliveries into the box in each game.
The 21-year-old said: “Making an impact, trying to get goals and get assists. For me to get two was something I was pleased with. Two for Rudi as well so we have that connection there.
“He is always telling me to put good balls into the box and this is the game that it worked in and paid off. He got on the end of the two balls so I am pleased with that. The main thing is that we ended up having a point. Now we look back and see where we did go wrong and where we have done well.”
Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger was named in the BBC Premier League team of the week after his brace helped Chelsea secure a 2-2 draw against Leicester City on Saturday.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard praised Rudiger and centre-back partner Andreas Christensen for their performance against Leicester City.
Lampard said: “I thought Andreas Christensen played well as well (as Antonio Rudiger). He was struggling with a fever at half time but played well. Tony as well with a great header for the second goal.”
