Chelsea youngster Mason Mount has blamed the defeat to Bayern Munich to lack of concentration from the team.
Two quickfire goals from Serge Gnabry in the second-half aided a Chelsea collapse and Bayern victory in the second-half as Bayern cruised to a 3-0 win.
For their first goal, Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta slipped at a crucial point which allowed Robert Lewandowski to feed in Gnabry for the opener. This led to a Chelsea collapse in the second period after the Blues had held Bayern in the first half.
“It is always very tough to take after a loss, especially 3-0 and at home,” said Mount who played the whole game, “but we have shown we can come back in the past and we need to gather ourselves together and we have it in the changing room to bring out the personalities and bounce back in the next game.
“I just think it was probably a lack of concentration,’ was his thought on the conceding of two goals in three minutes that handed Bayern the initiative.
“When you come out after half-time it is a moment when you can switch off and in the Champions League they [the opponents] take their chances. Any little mistake, any little lack of concentration you are going to get punished and that was kind of what happened in that little space of time.”
