Chelsea have been on the receiving end of some wrong VAR decisions as VAR declined against sending off Harry Maguire for his lunge on Michy Batshuayi in the game against Manchester United on Monday night.

Just few days after, Chelsea were yet again stung by VAR as Tottenham star Giovani Lo Celso clearly stamped his feet on Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta, but wasn’t sent off in yet another bizarre VAR situation.

The Professional Game Match Officials Board PGMOL initially gave the reason why VAR ref Davie Coote had opted not to send the Argentine off by saying in a statement: “Not a clear and obvious error and there was nowhere else for Lo Celso to put his foot.”

Then, just minutes later, BT Sport revealed that they had been told by the PGMOL that a human error had been made and that Lo Celso should have been handed his marching orders.

This is just yet another bizarre VAR decision that has gone against Chelsea, but fortunately for the Blues they went on to win this game.
