Chelsea boss Frank Lampard revealed his disappointment at the VAR decision as VAR yet again ruled against the Blues.
Tottenham’s Giovani Lo Celso clearly stamped his feet on Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta in what was a career threatening injury, but VAR failed to give Lo Celso a red card.
Providing analysis for beIN SPORTS after the game, ex-Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was surprised that the VAR officials needed up to three minutes to still make the wrong decision.
“I agree completely, it was a straight red card,” he said.
“I don’t even see why they needed three minutes to make the decision. First time you see it, it’s a red card. It’s a mistake that we have to take on board.”
Meanwhile, Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho refused to speak about the incident as he said: “I feel sorry that they don’t admit more times [that they are wrong] especially when things go against us.
“But I don’t wanna speak about it.”
