Despite being linked with several players during the January transfer window, including Dries Mertens of Napoli, Edinson Cavani of PSG, and Ben Chilwell of Leicester City, Chelsea failed to sign any player.

A Chelsea fan has admitted he is happy Chelsea didn’t waste money on panic buys during the January transfer window as we have done in the past.

Despite backing the club’s decision not to waste money on panic buys, the Chelsea fan also insisted fans will ask the board serious questions if the squad isn’t improved in the summer.

“I’m glad we didn’t waste money on panic buying, which is something we tend to do every year,” Jean-Marc Louise wrote on The Real Chelsea Fans.

“But the critics are out and unless the powers that be in Chelsea hierarchy start proving that they are capable of bringing in players that will improve the team at the end of this season, there will be serious questions asked by fans.”
